Christine's words about mum

Created by Susan 3 years ago
My Dear Sweet Mum,
Thank you for all the lovely memories that you have given to me, of your life. I will cherish them forever.
I loved when we would dance and sing in the kitchen together, to all the old songs and going for coffee and scones in Bexhill, we never stopped talking. Hastings is a very special place, you knew all the history and everywhere we went you would have a story to tell.
Remember when we would go to the Museum and look at the pictures of the Winkle club, you told me the stories of why it started. When the weather was bad and the Fishermen struggled, The Winkle Club was a charity that helped them and their families, so the children wouldn’t go without. You used to go to The Winkle Club with us children. The man in the Museum asked you to give a talk to the visitors so they could hear about the old days, but you felt they would not be interested to hear. Mum you was amazing with the life you had and the stories you told, I would ask you so many times to write a book for all the Grandchildren to read about their Amazing Nan.
I know that you are with Dad again, he was the love of your life Mum and you deserved to have had him for so many years. Love you forever Mum, thank you for my wonderful life, if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t have my lovely family and all my special memories that I will keep close to my heart. Give my Phil a big Kiss.
Love you forever my Darling, until we meet again. Your loving daughter Christine XXX
I see you with Dad, Nan, Grandad, Kathy, Peter, Jimmy and My Phil XXX
